Since 1993, the Alliance Cap-Verdienne de Lyon association has aimed to promote and share Cape Verdean culture.
Over the past 30 years, the association has carried out various solidarity initiatives in Cape Verde—supporting organizations, vulnerable individuals, and children—through projects designed to provide school supplies and essential goods.

The Prime Minister of Cabo Verde meets with the diaspora in Lyon.

On August 30, 2025, the Cape Verdean Alliance of Lyon hosted Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva for an exceptional meeting with diaspora associations.

A national tribute to Carlos Moreira, attended by the Prime Minister.

Carlos Moreira, the founder and first president of the Cape Verdean Alliance, was posthumously awarded the Medal of Cultural Merit, Second Class.

President of the Republic of Cabo Verde received in Saint-Fons

On February 2, 2026, the Cape Verdean Alliance of Lyon welcomed the President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, José Maria Pereira Neves, in Saint-Fons.
